Shakespeare Slam Workshop at the O-School
On Saturday, October 5, the halls of the O-School came alive with energy and excitement as more than 100 Shakespeare Slam participants from 10 different schools across the region gathered to learn.
The daylong event featured a dynamic mix of activities designed to immerse participants in the world of the Bard. Workshops were taught by professors, actors, and other theater professionals, with a special focus on how to stage and create soundscapes in a scene. The event's goal was to provide the participating Shakespeare Slam teams with the concepts and tools needed to enhance their overall performance in preparation for the upcoming Shakespeare Slam competition this coming spring.
The O-School has a long history of success in the Shakespeare Slam, even finishing second in 2023. This October, all six students from the O-School’s acting team participated.
