Camp O
Camper Profile
Camp O campers are young people between the ages of 6 - 15. They are both interested (they have lots of passions and a desire to engage socially) and interesting (they are bright, kind, funny and unique). In addition to their strengths, Camp O campers sometimes struggle to exhibit flexibility, try something new, respond to change, solve social problems or form healthy friendships.
Camp O campers have a lot to give but need help navigating the complexities of a new social setting — like summer camp!
Camp O campers may have formal diagnoses such as:
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Social communication disorder
- Anxiety disorders
- Learning disabilities
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Attention-deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD)
- Those without a formal diagnosis may exhibit characteristics consistent with these diagnoses
Campers must be able to maintain safe behavior and remain in their groups without continuous 1:1 supervision.
"We appreciate the love and support (my child) was given."
An inclusive and structured day camp for young people who require additional supports to access the joys of summer camp.

“My child loved Camp O. She made more friends there than at any previous camp, and more than she made in six years at her school. She was excited to
go to camp every morning.”

Mission
Camp O thoughtfully embeds social and emotional learning into camp activities.
A low staff to camper ratio (1:4) allows for increased interaction and supervision with highly qualified and trained staff members.
With counselor support, campers will experience activities, such as:
- Water Day
- Team Sports
- Dance + Music
- STEM
- Talent Show
- Camp Olympics
- BBQs
- Arts + Crafts
Campers will partake in joy and silliness, discover new interests, make friends, build confidence, and help create a dynamic Camp O community!
"I wish my (my child) had these experiences at shcool... he made a friend."

The Camp O Leadership Team has a combined experience of 25 years at the O-School and is trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
“Camp O’s approach has allowed their kids to access a kind of experience they’ve never been able to access before.”
